The Boise State University football team opens its 2008 season this Saturday (Aug. 30) at 6:07 p.m. (MT) in Bronco Stadium against Idaho State University.  This will be the 30th meeting between the in-state schools with the Broncos holding a 23-6 lead in the series.  The last meeting between the two schools was in 2003 with Boise State posting a 62-0 victory at Bronco Stadium.

Saturday's game also marks the first at Bronco Stadium with the completed Stueckle Sky Club.  The $37 million project was completed this month and features three different levels of seating for fans on four levels, and new press facilities for the media.

The 2008 season also begins the third year with head coach Chris Petersen guiding the Broncos.  During his two-year tenure at the helm of the Boise State football program, Petersen has guided the team to a 23-3 record and a pair of postseason bowl games.

Boise State has next weekend off from competition before returning to Bronco Stadium to host Bowling Green on Sept. 13 (Saturday).
