Perretta Named Pete's Pick for Player of the Day
BOISE, Idaho - With the final days of Boise State’s fall camp approaching and the excitement surrounding the start of the season running high, the intensity the players showed on the field was great, but none greater than Vinny Perretta as head coach Chris Petersen named the senior Player of the Day, Thursday.

“He’s done a really good job all fall camp,” Petersen said. “He’s one of those guys, when he gets the ball in his hands, it can be a touchdown no matter where he is on the field. It’s nice to have him back in the mix.”

Last season the wide receiver from Encinitas, Calif., played in all four games before being sidelined with a shoulder injury. During those games, he had nine catches for 120 yards and five rushes for 30 yards and a touchdown. During his sophomore campaign, he finished the season third on the team in rushing with 316 yards and three touchdowns on 55 carries while finishing fifth on the team in receiving with 17 catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, his five touchdowns were fourth most on the team.
