Fall Camp: Day 15
Aug. 20, 2015

BOISE, Idaho - The Broncos were back to practice Thursday, working out on The Blue in preparation for Friday night's public scrimmage. As Bronco fans prepare for the scrimmage, they can also get to know today's Lithia Ford Newcomer of the Day, sophomore tight end Jake Knight while sophomore running back Jeremy McNichols was selected as the Lithia Ford Camper of the Day.

Boise State's public scrimmage at Albertsons Stadium will take place tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free and the first 10,000 fans through the Albertsons Stadium gates receive a 2015 schedule poster.

McNichols was one of just two true freshman, along with safety Dylan Sumner-Gardner, to see action in 2014. Nicknamed "The Weapon" because of his multi-threat capability as a runner and receiver, McNichols averaged 9.4 yards per carry, rushing for 159 yards and a score while catching 15 balls for 155 yards and another score.

McNichols also had a presence on special teams for the Broncos, averaging 20.7 yards over 19 kick returns.

Knight is a local product out of Meridian's Rocky Mountain High School, having starred for the Grizzlies in both football and track and field. On the gridiron, Knight caught 27 passes for 526 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior in 2013, then, in the spring, captured Idaho's 5A titles in the shot put and discus.

Knight spent his freshman year of college at Auburn as part of the Tigers track and field team. At the 2015 SEC Indoor Championships he placed 13th in the shot put with a throw of 53-6.5'/16.32 meters.

Bronco fans can get to know Knight a little more below, and can follow the latest updates and behind-the-scenes happenings of Fall Camp as well as with the many Boise State programs by adding us on Snapchat at "broncoathletics" from a mobile device or tablet.
