Broncos to Hold Scrimmage Saturday

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State football team is nearing the end of fall camp, and the team will hold a scrimmage Saturday (Aug. 20) at Bronco Stadium. The scrimmage is open to the public, and is scheduled to run from 7-8:30 p.m.

The scrimmage will feature the Bronco offense against the Bronco defense in situational plays, plus live special teams. The following scoring system will be utilized:

Offense
Touchdown - 6 points
Field Goal - 3 points
Extra Point - 1 or 2 points

Defense
Touchdown - 6 points
Turnover - 3 points
Fourth Down Stop - 3 points
Sack - 2 points
Safety - 2 points
3-and-out - 1 point
Hold to field goal inside Red zone - 1 point

The Boise State coaching staff would like to promote a game-day atmosphere, and encourages the crowd to cheer for both the offense and defense. To promote this, fans will receive either a blue or orange roster card when entering the stadium. All players will be listed on each roster, but fans with a blue roster card are asked to cheer for the offense, and fans with orange roster cards are asked to cheer for the defense.

Bob Behler and Pete Cavender will broadcast live from the scrimmage on KBOI (670 AM) and KKGL (96.9 FM). A pregame show with Paul J. Schneider, Jeff Caves and Dave Harbison will begin at 5 p.m.
