As the Boise State football team enjoyed its final two-a-day practices of the Broncos’ 2009 fall camp, Head Coach Chris Petersen recognized junior Winston Venable as the Camper of the Day for his efforts on the field, Monday (Aug. 17).
“[Winston] is a guy that has been doing a great job ever since he got here and started practicing in the spring,” Petersen said. “He continues to work hard every day, and he hasn’t let up one bit since spring ball.”
Venable (6-0, 206), a transfer from Glendale Community College, has been competing this fall for playing time in the Boise State secondary at the nickel position. He recorded 94 tackles as a sophomore at Glendale CC, tallying 191 tackles in two years.
