BOISE, Idaho - The practice following yesterday’s practice was short and sweet thanks to sophomore Kyle Brotzman as head coach Chris Petersen named him Player of the Day, Sunday. “Kyle’s been coming on strong,” Petersen said. “He just ended practice early because he made a 57-yarder. The money was on the line, he made it and practice ended early because of him.” The Bronco kicker from Meridian, Idaho was named a preseason honorable mention All-American by NationalChamps.net, in addition to being named a preseason honorable mention All-WAC in Phil Steele’s 2008 College Football Preview and from Athlon Sports. The sophomore heads into the 2008 season with a consecutive PAT streak of 66, marking the third-longest in Boise State history and is just nine shy from setting a new record for the Broncos. |
