Day 9: Newcomer Of The Day
Aug. 14, 2015

BOISE, Idaho - After their Thursday-evening scrimmage to wrap Day Eight, Boise State will once again practice under the lights of The Blue Friday night. Before the Broncos work under the Friday Night Lights, however, fans can get to know today's Lithia Ford Newcomer of the Day, freshman middle linebacker Marquis Hendrix.

Hendrix comes to Boise from Trinity Catholic High School in Ocala, Fla., where he was a three-time first-team all-county honoree and also garnered second-team all-state honors as a senior. Hendrix was a tackling machine as a prep, recording tackle figures of 125 as a sophomore, 122 as a junior and 129 as a senior.

He recorded 14.5 sacks over those three seasons, in addition to 14 tackles-for-loss in both his sophomore and junior campaigns.

Bronco fans can get to know Hendrix a little more below, and can follow the latest updates and behind-the-scenes happenings of Fall Camp as well as with the many Boise State programs by adding us on Snapchat at "broncoathletics" from a mobile device or tablet.
