Day 8: Newcomer Of The Day
Aug. 13, 2015

BOISE, Idaho - The Broncos get a long break from practice as they'll go Thursday night after a Wednesday morning session, but that doesn't stop from rolling out junior cornerback Raymand Ford as the Newcomer of the Day, presented by Lithia Ford.

Ford enrolled at Boise State in January and participated in spring practice and the 2015 spring game. A Los Angeles, Calif. native, Ford played two seasons at Riverside CC after a prep career at Junipero Serra High School.

At Riverside, Ford recorded a team-best six interceptions in 2014 while finishing second on the team with nine pass breakups and third with 59 tackles. As a freshman in 2013, he picked off four passes and returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown.

At Junipero Serra, Ford intercepted a pass and made 34 tackles while being named all-region despite having his senior campaign cut short by injury. That followed a junior season in which he recorded 45 tackles, five interceptions and 15 pass breakups to garner first-team all-state, first-team All-Southern Section and first-team All-Mission League honors.

Bronco fans can get to know Ford a little more below, and can follow the latest updates and behind-the-scenes happenings of Fall Camp as well as with the many Boise State programs by adding us on Snapchat at "broncoathletics" from a mobile device or tablet.
