Bronco Fall Camp Insider: Day 10

The Broncos held a short walk-thru Sunday afternoon following Saturday’s scrimmage, but were back in pads for a full practice Monday morning. The team practiced at the new field at Dona Larsen Park today, as you will see in the photo gallery below.

Following today’s practice, Coach Pete named redshirt senior linebacker J.C. Percy the Camper of the Day.

“J.C. is doing a great job inside,” Petersen said. “He knows this defense inside and out, and he plays as hard as anyone we have on the roster.”

Percy, from Blackfoot, Idaho, was named to the Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List earlier this summer. He is a three-time conference all-academic selection and the Broncos’ top-returning tackler, registering 48 (19 solo) in 2011. He has appeared in each of the Broncos’ 40 games since his debut season in 2009, finishing as the team’s second-leading tackler both his freshman and sophomore seasons.

Also a special teams standout, Percy was named the co-recipient of Boise State’s Special Teams Player of the Year Award following the 2011 season.

Dan Paul on returning from a season-long injury...
"It's like a dream come true. I've been in the dumps the past year, not being able to run, workout or do much involved with the team. So it just feels great to be back and a part of something again. It feels 10 out of 10, it's awesome."

Matt Miller on how Fall Camp is going...
"It's going. You kind of get into the dog days right now. Everybody's getting a little sore, a little tired but you have to come to the office and be ready to grind every day."
