BOISE, Idaho – The newcomers are starting to settle in nicely on the 2009 Bronco squad as a redshirt freshman was named head coach Chris Petersen’s Camper of the Day for the second day in a row. J.C. Percy was Wednesday’s pick after a hot, August afternoon practice.

“He’s been doing a really nice job ever since spring ball and has picked up right where he left off,” said Petersen. “He’s out there with a lot of focus and intensity, and he has been making strides through the whole fall camp. We need him to continue to progress in order to be the linebacker core we need to be.”

Percy, a freshman from Blackfoot, Idaho, redshirted during the 2008 season after a stellar high school career at Blackfoot High School, which included a state championship. He was named to the All-State team on both offense and defense for his junior and senior seasons as well as  earning All-State honors on defense as a sophomore.
