Fall Camp: Day 6
Aug. 11, 2015

BOISE, Idaho - Week two of fall camp continued Tuesday with the first "double day" for Boise State. As the player fit two practices and a round of media interviews into their schedule, Tuesday's Newcomer of the Day was freshman wide receiver Austin Cottrell and the Camper of the Day, as selected by the coaching staff, was redshirt senior defensive tackle Tyler Horn. Both titles are presented by Lithia Ford.

Horn returns for his fifth year on The Blue in 2015 after suffering a season-ending injury in the 2014 opener against Ole Miss. Before leaving the contest, however, Horn was enjoying a solid performance, recording a sack among his four tackles (three solo) against the Rebels.

During his career at Boise State, Horn, a local product out of Meridian and Mountain View High School, has appeared in 34 games and recorded 8.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles-for-loss.

Cottrell comes to Boise from an area very familiar to Bronco fans: Phoenix, Ariz., where in nearby Glendale the Broncos have won three Fiesta Bowls over the past nine seasons. He spent a year at Scottsdale Community College before joining the Broncos this summer, and at Scottsdale he played in nine games, catching 12 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown for the Artichokes.

As a prep, Cottrell spent his senior season at Mountain Ridge High School after spending three years at O'Connor High School. At Mountain Ridge he caught 15 balls for 260 yards and four touchdowns, while over two varsity seasons at O'Connor he totaled 55 receptions for 746 yards and six scores.

Bronco fans can get to know Cottrell a little more below, and can follow the latest updates and behind-the-scenes happenings of Fall Camp as well as with the many Boise State programs by adding us on Snapchat at "broncoathletics" from a mobile device or tablet.
