The Broncos held a closed scrimmage Saturday in Bronco Stadium, the team’s first scrimmage of the 2012 season. Although the scrimmage was closed, Boise State head coach Chris Petersen still named a Camper of the Day.

CAMPER OF THE DAY…

Following the scrimmage, Coach Pete named redshirt sophomore cornerback Deon’tae Florence the Camper of the Day.

“Deon’tae had a really good practice,” Petersen said. “He made some big plays, and hauled in a couple of interceptions.”

Florence is entering his first season with the Broncos after transferring from College of the Desert in Palm Desert, Calif. The 5-foot-9, 168-pound cornerback attended Armwood High School in Largo, Fla.
