Fall Scrimmage, Fan Appreciation Details

BOISE, Idaho – A week before the Boise State football team opens its 2017 campaign against Troy on The Blue, Bronco Nation is invited to take part in Fan Appreciation Day at Albertsons Stadium, set for 1:45 p.m., Aug. 26.

Fans will be able to catch the Broncos’ final scrimmage before taking on the Trojans, and following the scrimmage, will be invited onto the field for photos and autographs with coaches, student-athletes, the spirit squad and Buster Bronco.

Admission and parking are each free for the event. Gates A, D and P are scheduled to open at 1 p.m.

Fans in attendance will receive the Broncos’ 2017 schedule poster to have signed by the team. Posters and schedule cards will be available at each entrance, and at the 50-yard line gates as fans enter the field following the scrimmage.

Season tickets for the 2017 season are still available, starting as low as $165, and fans can also pick their own three-game mini plans. Regardless of which three games are selected, the three-game mini plans are available for $159.

Boise State is slated to open the 2017 season against Troy, Sept. 2. Kickoff is set for 1:45 p.m., the first day game at Albertsons Stadium in nearly four years. The Broncos will also kick at 6 p.m. against both New Mexico (Sept. 14) in the Broncos’ Mountain West opener, and Virginia (Sept. 22), the first school from the Atlantic Coast Conference to play a regular-season game in Boise.

Today is the last day to pre-register for the 2017 Bronco Athletic Association Kick-off, scheduled for Monday, Aug. 14, at 6 p.m. in the Jordan Ballroom, located in the SUB on the campus of Boise State University. For the first time, the event is open to the general public. Tickets are $5 for members of the BAA and $10 for non-members, and free parking for the event is available in the Lincoln Garage.

The annual BAA Kick-off includes dinner, and attendees will hear from each of Boise State’s fall sports coaches and student-athletes.
