Boise State linebacker Aaron Tevis (6-3, 214) used day three of fall football camp to assert himself in the ongoing battle for playing time this fall, as he was named Camper of the Day by Head Coach Chris Petersen on Friday.
“The linebacker position is so critical to us,” Coach Petersen said. “He’s made strides each practice, and today was the best one that he’s had so far. We’re counting on good things from him in the fall.”
Tevis, a sophomore from Tucson, Ariz. (Canyon Del Oro HS), burst onto the scene as a freshman, recording eight tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery in his college debut against Idaho State. He finished 2008 with 27 tackles and three pass breakups, playing in 12 games for the Broncos.
