BOISE, Idaho - Tensions were high and the competition was fierce during the fourth day of fall camp, but breaking through the line and standing out above the rest was Brandyn Thompson as head coach Chris Petersen named the sophomore his pick for Player of the Day, Thursday.
“Brandyn showed up today with great focus, energy and he turned that into some play-making ability,” said Petersen. “He had an awesome interception, but his coverage has been very tight all camp long. We’re looking forward to great things out of him this fall.”
Making his presence known during last season, he was one o five true freshmen to play serving as the backup defensive back and special teams player. He finished the season with 16 tackles, registering a season-high five tackles at Hawai’i and four at Louisiana Tech.broncosports.com
