Williams Named Pete's Pick for Player of the Day

BOISE, Idaho - The sun wasn’t the only thing blazing during the third day of Fall Camp as Mike T. Williams was on fire as head coach Chris Petersen named the senior Player of the Day, Wednesday.

“He’s been giving a great effort,” said Petersen. “He’s been healthy and challenging our O-Line every play, everyday.”

The defensive end hailing from Sacramento, Calif., was named a preseason thrird-team- All-WC in Phil Steele’s 2008 College Football Preview. Last season, Williams started and played in 12 of the Broncos’ 13 games, finishing the year with 28 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, four pass breakups, a forced fumble and an interception.
