BOISE, Idaho For displaying the most outstanding performance of any Boise State football player on the second day of Fall Camp, Orland Scandrick was named Camper of the Day by head coach Chris Petersen.
“Orlando is working extremely hard. He knows our defense really well and he is competing like a champion,” coach Petersen said. “He is one of the leaders on our defense and if he continues show up like he has the last two days we will be in good shape.”
Scandrick, a 5’11” cornerback from Los Alamitos, Calif., started all 13 games for the Broncos at corner in 2006. He finished the season fourth on the team in tackles (52) while also adding 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, six pass break ups, two forced fumbles, and an interception. He also returned a blocked extra point for a two-point conversion for the second straight season.
