Broncos Ranked No. 22 in Debut Coaches' Poll

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State University football team opened the 2012 season ranked No. 22 in the initial release of the USA TODAY Coaches’ Poll, Wednesday.

The Broncos have been ranked in every poll since entering at No. 20 Sept. 21, 2008, a streak of 61-consecutive polls.

Boise State has also now opened the season ranked in the Coaches’ Poll for four-straight years, starting at No. 16 in 2009, and beginning the season in the top 10 in both 2010 (No. 5) and 2011 (No. 7).

The Broncos have been ranked in the top 25 in each of the last 11 seasons.

Boise State will open the 2012 season at Michigan State, which also opened the season ranked in the Coaches’ Poll (No. 13). The Broncos and Spartans are slated to kickoff at 6 p.m. (MT) in East Lansing, Mich., and the game will be nationally-televised by ESPN.
