HOUSTON – Boise State University senior offensive guard Joe Kellogg was named to the 2012 Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List Monday, an award given annually to the nation’s top collegiate offensive lineman or linebacker.

Kellogg was also named to the Outland Trophy Watch List last week.

Eligibility for the Rotary Lombardi Award is limited to offensive or defensive end-to-end down linemen who set up no farther than 10 yards to the left or right or the ball, and linebackers who set up no farther than five yards deep from the line of scrimmage.

Candidates earn a place on the Watch List by earning All-America honors or first-team all-conference honors the previous season, being projected to be an All-American or first-team all-conference candidate for the upcoming season or by a nomination approved by the committee.

Kellogg is a three-year starter for the Broncos entering 2012, and has helped the Broncos finish ranked first- and third-nationally in sacks allowed the last two seasons, giving up 0.62 per game in 2011 and 2010, respectively.

Kellogg has also helped lead an offensive unit that has ranked in the top five in scoring offense in each of the last three seasons, finishing first in 2009, second in 2010 and fifth in 2011.
