BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State football team garnered a No. 3 preseason national ranking in Phil Steele's 2011 College Football Preview, which is currently available on newsstands.
Steele's rankings are his prediction of where he thinks teams will finish the 2011 season, and he has the Broncos rated behind Alabama and Oklahoma, ranked Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.
The No. 3 national ranking comes on the heels of Athlon Sports releasing its preseason rankings, which placed Boise State at No. 5.
Steele also released his Preseason All-America and Preseason All-Mountain West Conference Teams last month. The complete breakdown can be found HERE.
Boise State is slated to open the 2011 season against Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, Sept. 3. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. (MT) at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga., and the game will be televised by ESPN.
