Broncos Sign Scott Matlock

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Football announced Friday the signing of Scott Matlock (Homedale, Idaho / Homedale HS) to its recruiting Class of 2018.

Matlock, a 6-foot-4, 255-lb. defensive lineman out of Homedale (Idaho) High School, was named to the 2017 3A All-Idaho Second Team as an offensive lineman, and earned spots on the 3A All-Snake River Valley First Team as both a defensive lineman and tight end. This past prep season, he made 22 catches for 330 yards and five touchdowns in his tight end role, while making 57 tackles on defense, including 13 for loss and five sacks.

Matlock also lettered in basketball and golf at Homedale, and was named the 2018 Idaho Press Tribune Sports Inspirational Athlete of the Year.

Boise State opens the 2018 season Sept.1 at Troy, with the Broncos' home opener set for Saturday, Sept. 8, against Connecticut.
