Five Named to Hampshire Honor Society
April 27, 2016

BOISE, Idaho – Five former members of the Boise State football team were named to the Hampshire Honor Society, the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame announced Wednesday.

Robert Ash, Jack Fields, Jake Hardee, Tutulupeatau Mataele and Kelsey Young were each named to the 2016 class.

To be eligible for the Hampshire Honor Society, student-athletes completing their final year of eligibility must have maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.

The Broncos’ five honorees were more than all but three schools in the Football Bowl Subdivision (Akron, Duke and Fresno State).

The announcement comes on the heels of last week’s NCAA release of the Academic Progress Rate (APR). The football program’s multi-year APR of 982 ranked tied for 15th nationally in the FBS, while the single-year APR of 991 ranked tied for 16th nationally.
