Three Broncos named to Preseason All-America Team


BOISE, Idaho Offensive tackle Ryan Clady, running back Ian Johnson and safety Marty Tadman all were named to the preseason All-America Team by  Clady is a second-team selection, Johnson a third-team pick and Tadman an honorable mention choice.

Clady (Rialto, Calif./Eisenhower HS) was instrumental in the Broncos finishing the 2006 season second in the country in scoring, sixth in rushing and 10th in total offense.  The junior was a second-team All-American and first-team All-WAC selection last season. 

Johnson (San Dimas, Calif./Damien HS) enters his junior season third in the nation among active players in career rushing touchdowns with 26 and fourth in career total touchdowns with 26.  He was named first-team All-America by and CBS, second-team All-America by the Sporting News and third-team All-America by the Associated Press last season after leading the country in touchdowns (25) and finishing second in rushing (142.83 ypg). 

Tadman (Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo HS) heads into his senior season as the active national leader in career interceptions with 12 and interception returns for touchdowns with three, while ranking second in career interception return yards with 269.  Tadman was a second-team All-WAC pick as a junior and earned defensive MVP honors at the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl after intercepting two passes, one of which he returned for a touchdown.
