Boise, ID April, 8, 2009 - Peak Broadcasting and Boise State University jointly announced today the appointment of Pete Cavender as the Color Analyst for the Peak/BSU Sports Radio Network. Mr. Cavender will provide vital statistics, descriptions, and real life “from the field” perspectives to enhance the radio broadcasts throughout the Broncos Football Season. As a former BSU player (2003-2007 including the Fiesta Bowl) Pete will offer a unique perspective with his knowledge of team strategies, plays, coaching personalities, and players make him uniquely qualified for this important position.
Pete grew up in Elko, NV, and since attending and playing at BSU, has made Boise his home working in the insurance industry. Pete was apart of five bowl teams at BSU (Fort Worth, Liberty, MPC, Fiesta and Hawai’i), playing guard and center on the offensive line.
Commenting on the appointment, Bob Behler, Play by Play Announcer and Director of Network Affiliate Relations for Peak Broadcasting/Boise said, “I am excited to be working with Pete for the coming season. He is the kind of person that exemplifies what it is to be a Bronco. Someone who was a good student and athlete, who decided to stay and make the Boise community home.” He continued, “Having played for Coach Pete and not being too far removed from his playing days, I think he’ll have some great insight in to the program and the team”.
Locally, BSU Football is heard on 580/63 KIDO radio and www.KIDOAM.com.
KIDO’s second season broadcasting Bronco Nation Football will begin on September 3rd when BSU takes on Oregon from Broncos Stadium.
