BOISE, Idaho - Senior running back Derrick Thomas picked up his second-straight Offensive Player of the Day honor, while nickel Corey Bell also checked in as a back-to-back Ballhawk recipient for Sunday's Spring Practice Players of the Day.
Thomas and Bell were each selected by the Bronco coaching staff after Friday's practice as well.
"Derrick has put together two really nice practices in a row," said running backs coach Kent Riddle. "He showed some nice explosiveness and power on Sunday night, and caught the ball well out of the backfield for a couple of scores."
"Corey is just always around the ball," said defensive coordinator Marcel Yates. "When there is a big play on defense, number 38 seems to be in the middle of things or the one causing the havoc."
Here is the complete list of the players of the day from over the weekend, as well as Sunday's top position group.
Boise State returns to the practice field Tuesday morning. The Broncos will hold two more practices before taking a week off for Spring Break.
