BOISE, Idaho -- A Pac-12 visitor from Pullman and a pair of rivals from Utah highlight the home slate of Boise State's upcoming anniversary season as Washington State (Sept. 10), Utah State (Oct. 1) and BYU (Oct. 20) come to Albertsons Stadium this fall.

The Mountain West and Boise State announced the 2016 football schedule Wednesday. Game dates are still subject to change and kickoff times will not yet be determined until the announcement of the Mountain West television schedule at a later date.

Two such games have already had their dates and TV information set. The contest against BYU will be Thursday, Oct. 20, while Boise State's Senior Day matchup with UNLV is set for Friday, Nov. 18. Each game will be televised on the ESPN family of networks with kickoff times to be announced at a to-be-determined date. The showdown with BYU at Albertsons Stadium will be Boise State's first Thursday home game since 2012--when the Broncos edged the Cougars, 7-6, on a Mike Atkinson pick-six.

Boise State football season tickets and Family Plans are available for purchase at www.broncosports.com/tickets or by calling the Boise State Athletic Ticket Office at 208-426-4737. Once again in 2016, Boise State elected not to raise prices in the main stadium.

The 2016 campaign and its build-up will be marked by a celebration of 30 Years on The Blue for Boise State Football. The festivities and recognition will begin March 17 with the celebration of the 100th birthday of former head coach and athletic director Lyle Smith, and continue through the spring and summer as Boise State looks back on some of the top games, moments, teams and players from the past 30 years on The Blue.

Boise State will also, on a game date to be announced, honor the Fiesta Bowl-champion 2006 team on the 10th anniversary of its historic, undefeated season.

The Broncos will open the 2016 season in Cajun country, traveling to Lafayette for the first time to take on the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Saturday, Sept. 3.

Week Two brings with it the first game on The Blue in its 30th-anniversary season as Washington State rolls into Boise Saturday, Sept. 10. After a bye week (Sept. 16-17), Boise State will face its second Pac-12 North team of 2016 two weeks later, traveling to Corvallis to face Oregon State on Sept. 24.

Boise State's road back to the top of the Mountain West begins Oct. 1 against a team that played a role in derailing the Broncos' 2015 title hopes, as Utah State will come to Albertsons Stadium for the conference opener. That contest starts a stretch in which the Broncos will be home for three games over four weeks, as a trip to Albuquerque to face New Mexico (Oct. 8) will be followed by home dates against Colorado State (Oct. 15) and the team that spoiled hopes of an unbeaten 2015 season in BYU (Oct. 20).

Entering the final five-week stretch of the regular season, the Broncos will alternate trips to Wyoming (Oct. 29), Hawai'i (Nov. 12) and Air Force (Nov. 26) with its two remaining home dates: Nov. 5 against San Jose State and Nov. 18's home finale against UNLV.

The Mountain West Championship Game is scheduled for Dec. 3 at the home of the higher-ranked of the conference's division champions.
