Boise State returned to the practice field at Scottsdale Community College on Thursday afternoon, its third full practice since arriving in Phoenix.  Junior wide receiver Austin Pettis participated in drills again, but was still visibly limited by his ankle injury.  Pettis is doing daily therapy as he remains a game time decision for Monday's game.

Following practice, about half the Bronco team went directly from Scottsdale CC to Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe to take in the Insight Bowl between Minnesota and iowa State.

The Broncos will gather as a team in the Scottsdale Plaza player hospitality room to ring in 2010.  A quiet (and non-noteworthy) New Year's Eve celebration is what Bronco coaches are wanting to make sure takes place for the team.

The dueling quarterbacks in Monday's game have combined for 61 touchdowns, two conference player of the year honors, both ranked in the top four nationally in pass efficiency,  while throwing just 8 interceptions in 671 pass attempts.  Boise State's Kellen Moore earned WAC Offensive Player of the Year honors after throwing for 39 touchdowns, while TCU's Andy Dalton was the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year, accounting for 25 touchdowns through the air and on the ground.

Boise State is one of just four teams nationally to make a repeat appearance in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl this decade, joining Ohio State (2003, 2004, 2006 and 2009), Oklahoma (2007 and 2008) and Notre Dame (2001 and 2006).
