Webb Honored by MW
Dec. 21, 2015

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State redshirt junior forward James Webb III was named Mountain West Player of the Week Monday, for his performance last week. Following a successful week of final exams, Webb poured in a career-high 31 points Sunday, to lead Boise State past Bradley 90-70 in the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge.

It is Webb's first MW Player of the Week award this season and second of his career. This is also the first weekly honor earned by a Bronco this season after taking home five last year.

Webb posted the first 30-point game of his career against the Braves behind career highs of 10 made field goals and 10 made free throws. He was 10-for-11 from the charity stripe, including converting a trio of three-point plays, matching his season total through the first 11 games.

He scored nine points during a 12-2 Boise State run in the second half that pushed the Broncos' lead from 13 to 23 and put the game out of reach. The reigning MW Newcomer of the Year also finished with eight rebounds and a season-high four steals.

Webb and the Broncos are off for the holidays and return to action Dec. 30, at home against UC Davis to conclude nonconference play.
