Broncos lose 84-82 heartbreaker at Loyola Marymount in double overtime

LOS ANGELES (AP) -John Montgomery banked in a running, one-handed 10-foot shot with 2.6 seconds remaining in the second overtime Tuesday to give Loyola Marymount an 84-82 victory over Boise State.

Following a Broncos' turnover with 10.3 seconds remaining, Montgomery drove down the right lane and fired up the game winner over a Boise State defender. It was his only field goal of the game.

Matt Nelson had 22 points and 13 rebounds for Boise State (5-5), and Reggie Larry had 19 points and 13 rebounds.  Nelson made 9-of-14 shots  before fouling out at the beginning of the second overtime.  Larry made 8-of-14 shots, while dishing out three assists.

Coby Karl finished with 14 points, while tying a career high with eight assists.  Tyler Tiedeman chipped in 11 points, but had five of Boise State's 23 turnovers.

Matthew Knight went 13-for-20 from the field and scored a career-high 32 points for Loyola Marymount (8-5).

Adoyah Miller had a career-high 23 points for the Lions and made a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime. Miller made six of nine 3-pointers and had eight assists.
