Drmic Named MW Player of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State sophomore guard/forward Anthony Drmic was named Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games through Dec. 16, the league office announced Monday.

This is the first-career player of the week accolade for Drmic, and the second for a Bronco this season. Derrick Marks also received his first-career award, Dec. 3.

Drmic registered the first 30-point outing of his career Dec. 14, scoring 34 points against previously-unbeaten LSU in the Broncos’ 89-70 victory. Drmic helped lead Boise State to its first victory over a team from the Southeasten Conference.

The Victoria, Endeavor Hills, Australia, native went a career-best 12-of-18 (.667) from the field, and tied his career high with six 3-pointers.

He added three rebounds, a block and a steal against the Tigers.

Drmic and Marks are the first pair of teammates to earn MW Player of the Week honors this season. The Broncos are just the second team to earn multiple accolades, as Colorado State senior center Colton Iverson won the award twice.
