Wiley Named MW Co-Player of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State redshirt junior guard Drew Wiley was named Mountain West Co-Player of the Week for games through Dec. 4, the league office announced Monday. Wiley shared the honor with San Diego State junior guard Chase Tapley.

This is Wiley’s first-career Player of the Week honor and the first for a Bronco in 2011-12. The last Boise State player to earn a conference weekly award was La’Shard Anderson, who was named Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week Feb. 28 and Jan. 10.

Wiley helped lead the Broncos to victories against both Drake (108-64) and Indiana State (74-65) of the Missouri Valley Conference last week, scoring a career-high 17 points against the Bulldogs as Boise State registered the program’s highest scoring effort against a Division I opponent. He was a perfect 5-of-5 from the 3-point line against Drake, went 2-for-2 from the free throw line and added three rebounds and two assists in just 21 minutes of action.

Wiley followed the performance with 12 points and a team-best six rebounds against the Sycamores, going 4-of-6 from the 3-point line. He added two steals in 20 minutes against Indiana State.

For the week, Wiley averaged 14.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 81.8 percent from 3-point range (9-of-11).

Prior to missing his fourth 3-point attempt against Indiana State, Wiley had a streak of nine-consecutive 3-pointers made, dating back to the Broncos’ victory over Northern Illinois.

Boise State plays host to Idaho State tonight at 7 p.m. at Taco Bell Arena, the second of three games in a five-day span for the Broncos.
