THE SERIES: The Broncos and Bengals have met previously 91 times, more than any other opponent in Boise State history. The Broncos lead the all-time series by a margin of 50-41, and have won each of the last four meetings. Since leaving the Big Sky following the 1995-96 season, the Broncos are 12-3 against the Bengals.

VERSUS THE BIG SKY: Boise State is 221-182 (.548) against teams currently in the Big Sky Conference, a league in which the Broncos held membership from 1970-96. Boise State went 190-187 during its 26 years in the league.

HOLDING COURT: The Broncos’  six-straight home victories to start the 2011-12 season are the most since also winning the first six in 2008-09. A victory over Idaho State would give Boise State seven-straight home victories to start a season for the first time since 2007-08.

A GOOD START: The Broncos are looking for a seventh win in their first eight games, the best start to a season since Boise State won eight of its first nine in 2003-04.
