SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -Reggie Larry matched his career high with 24 points and seven rebounds and Matt Nelson added 20 to lead Boise State to a 91-81 win over San Francisco on Saturday night.
Nelson added eight rebounds while Jamar Greene scored 10 of his 13 points during an 18-2 run midway through the second half when the Broncos (5-2) took control and eased to their fourth straight win, one shy of their longest win streak a year ago.
Dior Lowhorn scored 25 points and had eight rebounds for San Francisco (3-4), which lost for the third time in four games. Myron Strong added 17 points and three assists for the Dons, who had four players score in double figures and were within range late but couldn't keep up with the faster, more accurate Broncos after falling behind by 10 early in the second half.
Back-to-back dunks and a pair of free throws from Lowhorn tied the game at 58-58 with 11:29 remaining before Boise State began to pull away. Greene, who missed four of his first six shots, found his touch to get the Broncos going. He made a pair of 3-pointers then drove past San Francisco's defense for an easy lay-up during the 18-2 run that gave Boise State a 76-60 lead with under five minutes remaining.
The Dons made one final push and pulled within 83-72 after four straight points from Manny Quezada before a Nelson dunk with 56 seconds left sealed the win for Boise State.
Larry had 13 points and four rebounds in the first half for the Broncos but Boise State -- which led by nine twice early -- only led 35-33 after Lowhorn capped a 10-3 spurt with a pair of free throws and a short bucket. Larry's basket with three seconds left gave the Broncos a 37-33 halftime lead.
Tyler Tiedeman had 11 points, six rebounds and five assists for Boise State.
