The Broncos and Huskies have met just once prior to this season. Boise State defeated NIU 80-51 last year in DeKalb, Ill. (Nov. 29, 2010). The victory over the Huskies was Boise State’s sixth-straight to start the 2010-11 season, which tied the school record.

VERSUS THE MAC: The Broncos are 6-4 against the Mid-American Conference, including a 4-2 record against Northern Illinois’  counterparts in the West Division.

Boise State started 3-0 under head coach Leon Rice for the second-straight season, the first time in school history the Broncos have gone 3-0 to start a season in back-to-back years. The Broncos tied the school record with a 6-0 start in 2010-11.

Anthony Drmic already has two 20-point games this season, and is just the third Bronco in the last 18 years to post multiple 20-point outings during his freshman season. Booker Nabors (2000-01) and Steve Shepherd (1993-94) each had two during their freshmen campaigns.

NATIONAL RANKING: The NCAA will not release its first official statistical report until Nov. 28, but according to Boise State’s 85.0 points per game ranks 21st-nationally (as of Nov. 25).
