BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Anthony Drmic scored a game-high 23 points to lead Boise State to an 80-59 victory over Utah Wednesday night.
Ryan Watkins and Drew Wiley added 11 points apiece to help Boise State (2-0) notch its largest victory over a Pac-12 program. The Broncos defeated Oregon State 76-65 on Dec. 21, 1977.
Josh Watkins scored 19 points and Anthony Odunsi added 14 for Utah (1-1), which never led in the contest.
The Broncos were 10 of 18 from 3-point range, with Drmic leading the way with five.
Drmic had 14 first-half points and connected on four of Boise State's six first-half 3-pointers as the Broncos dashed to a 39-20 halftime lead.
Junior guard Chris Hines made his season debut for Utah after missing the opener with a rib injury suffered Nov. 4. Utah played without senior center David Foster, sidelined indefinitely with a foot injury.
The win was the first by the Broncos over a Pac-12 school since defeating Oregon State, Dec. 20, 2003 (82-80), and their first at home over a Pac-12 program since knocking off Washington, Dec. 4, 1998 (69-61).
