Drmic Lifts Broncos to Double-Overtime Win
Anthony Drmic scored 29 points as Boise State outlasted Montana in double overtime on Tuesday night. Nick Duncan added 15 points as the Broncos (3-0) overcame 33percent shooting. Drmic and Duncan each made four 3-pointers. Martin Breunig scored 16 points, Jordan Gregory added 15 and Mario Dunn had 12 for the Grizzlies (1-1). Gregory made a tying 3-pointer with 5.3 seconds left in the second overtime but didn't get the shot off on time and was called for a shot-clock violation.

SEASON OPENERS: Boise State is 28-19 all-time in season openers as a four-year school. The Broncos have won eight in a row.

STARTING ON THE ROAD: Friday marks the first time since 2006 Boise State will open its season with a true road game (Nov. 11, 2006 at Wyoming). The Broncos started last season on a neutral court.

HOME AND HOME: Boise State's game at Montana is the second leg of a home-and-home series between the schools. Anthony Drmic's 29 points led Boise State to a 72-67 double-overtime win in the home opener last year (Nov. 18). It was the only home game Drmic played last season.

REIGNING CHAMPS: Boise State and Montana each won the regular season title in their respective conferences last year. The Broncos will take on the defending regular-season champion from three leagues in nonconference play, the most in the Mountain West.

LIVE VIDEO: Friday's game will not be televised, but live video can be found at GoGriz.com/watch. The content requires a subscription, but a 24-hour pass can be purchased for $6.95.

ON THE CALL: The Voice of the Broncos, Bob Behler, is back for his eighth season of calling Boise State men's basketball on the radio. Behler is joined by Bronco great Abe Jackson in his eighth year as the analyst. The game will be carried on the Bronco Radio Network, including the flagship station 670 AM KBOI in Boise. A live audio stream is also available at BroncoSports.com.

BRONCOS PICKED SECOND: Boise State men's basketball was picked to finish second in the Mountain West in a preseason poll of media members from the league's 11 markets. Thr Broncos picked up two first-place votes and tallied 234 points in the poll. San Diego State led the preseason poll with 272 points and 22 of the 25 first-place votes.

PRESEASON ALL-MW: Anthony Drmic and James Webb III were selected to the preseason All-Mountain West First Team. Drmic was also picked to the preseason All-MW First Team prior to last season. He has twice made the All-Mountain West Second Team at year's end. Webb, a redshirt junior, is the only non-senior on the preseason all-conference team. He was a second-team All-MW pick last season as well as the conference's newcomer of the year and an all-defensive team selection. Boise State is the only school with two representatives on the five-member preseason all-conference team.

BLENDING TOGETHER: Despite the heaps of individual accolades and this marking the third season Anthony Drmic and James Webb III have been together at Boise State, the duo enters the season having only been on the floor at the same for 41:18 of regular season game action. Drmic and Webb have never played together at home in the regular season.

PRESEASON BRACKETS: Boise State is featured in the preseason NCAA Tournament bracket projections by CBS Sports (No. 7 seed), ESPN (No. 10 seed) and USA Today (No. 8 seed).
