Men's Basketball Hosts Concordia in Final Exhibition Game

RADIO: KIDO (630 AM) in Boise, will broadcast the game live with Mark Snider providing the play-by-play. Former Boise State basketball player Abe Jackson handles color commentary. KIDO, which is in its first year as the home of the Broncos, will broadcast every Boise State game.

BRONCOS HOST CONCORDIA IN FINAL EXHIBITION GAME: The Broncos prepare to kick-off the 2008-09 season this week, but have one last exhibition game before the season gets underway as Boise State hosts Concordia, Tues., Nov. 11 at 7:05 p.m.

ABOUT CONCORDIA: During preseason play, the Cavaliers posted a 115-82 win over Multnomah, before falling 57-82 to Oregon State. This marks Concordia’s final exhibition game of the year before opening the season against The Masters College, Nov. 14.

SANCHEZ RECORDS CAREER-HIGH 26 POINTS: Leading the way for Boise State in its 87-42 exhibition win over Guelph was senior Mark Sanchez. The forward tallied a career-high 26 points and posted a team-high eight rebounds against the Gryphons.

THOMAS EARNS PRESEASON RECOGNITION: Boise State University junior guard Anthony Thomas was named a preseason second-team All-WAC selection by the league’s coaches.

Thomas was selected to the second team and becomes just the third Bronco player named to the preseason second team, joining the ranks of Matt Nelson (2007-08 season) and Coby Karl (2005-06) as previous second-team picks. As a sophomore, Thomas started in all 34 games and averaged 8.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. He led the Broncos with 49 steals and finished the season ranked fifth in the WAC with an assist/turnover ratio of 1.55.
