Casdon Jardine Signs with MBB
Nov. 9, 2016

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State men’s basketball signed Casdon Jardine to a National Letter of Intent Wednesday, head coach Leon Rice announced. Jardine is a freshman at College of Southern Idaho and will join the Broncos in 2017-18 with four years to play three.

“Casdon is a big, strong, skilled player,” Rice said. “With losing Nick Duncan, we needed a guy with size who could shoot it. Casdon fills that need and will be a great addition to our system. He has a winning pedigree and comes from a program we have a lot of respect for.”

Jardine is a native of Twin Falls, Idaho, where he helped lead Twin Falls High School to the 2014 4A state title. The 6-foot-7 forward is now beginning his freshman season at College of Southern Idaho under head coach Jared Phay, following a two-year LDS mission. As a senior in high school, Jardine was named first-team all-state and Great Basin Conference Player of the Year.

Jardine is the latest in a long line of Boise State signees out of CSI. He joins recent Broncos Reggie Larry, Daequon Montreal, Kenny Buckner, Montigo Alford and James Reid to play at CSI before donning the Blue and Orange.

Boise State’s 2016-17 roster features two seniors in Duncan and Reid. The Broncos open the regular season Saturday, against Northwest University. Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m., at Taco Bell Arena.
