THE GAME: The Boise State men's basketball team opens the 2013-14 season Friday, against UT Arlington at Taco Bell Arena. Tip off is slated for 8 p.m. (MT). It is the regular-season opener for both teams.

TICKETS: Boise State will be running an "Early Bird Special," where tickets are $6 through halftime of the women's game. After halftime, tickets are $11.75 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for juniors (ages two through high school).

PARKING: The West Stadium Lot will be by permit only. Parking in the East Stadium Lot is open to permit holders and available to purchase for $5 on a single-game basis. Season passes will be sold for the East Stadium Lot, but only to season ticket holders. BAA members may purchase season passes for $35, while non-members can buy the pass for $65. That permit will also be accepted in the Denver Lot and Lincoln Garage.

SERIES HISTORY: Boise State leads the all-time series 2-0. The Broncos defeated UTA 64-46, Jan. 2, 2013, in Arlington, Texas. The only previous meeting before this calendar year was Dec. 20, 1985, in Boise- a 71-64 Bronco win.

BRONCOS IN 2013-14: Boise State returns nine letterwinners and two squad winners from last year, including all five starters...The Broncos welcome three freshmen as well as two transfers (one sophomroe and one senior) for the 2013-14 season.

BACK FOR MORE: The Broncos are the only team from the 2013 NCAA Tournament to return all five starters....Boise State returns 92.4 percent of last season's scoring output, 90 percent of the minutes played and 157 of the 160 starts from 2012-13.

SEASON OPENERS: Boise State is 26-19 all-time in season openers as a four-year school. The Broncos have won six-consecutive season debuts. The last such loss came Nov. 11, 2006, at Wyoming (94-79)...Boise State has won seven-straight season openers played at home, last losing Nov. 18, 2002, against Eastern Illinois (73-59). That is also the last time the Broncos lost a home opener, a streak of 10 years. Boise State is 36-9 all-time in home openers since becoming a four-year school.
