Defense key in Bronco men's win over Montana Western

BOISE, Idaho In Boise State’s first exhibition game it was all about offense when the Broncos scored 121 points. In today’s second exhibition the Broncos defense was the key.

Boise State held Montana Western to just 28.6 percent shooting en route to an 84-53 win on Sunday at Taco Bell Arena. The Broncos open their regular season on Friday against Utah Valley in Taco Bell Arena at 8:15 p.m.

Against Western Montana, the Broncos used a balanced attack getting eight or more points from six different players. Senior Matt Nelson led the Broncos with 16 points and eight rebounds, while senior Reggio Larry had 12 points and five boards.

Sophomore Anthony Thomas and junior Jamar Green e added 10 points each, while Aaron Garner and Kurt Cunningham both had eight points. Garner led the Broncos with six assists.
