Broncos end exhibition season with 103-51 win over Cascade

BOISE, Idaho Five Broncos scored in double figures Saturday to lead Boise State to a 103-51 win over Cascade in an exhibition game at Taco Bell Arena.

 

Junior Matt Nelson poured in 19 points, on 6-of-11 shooting, and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Broncos to their second straight 100-point game.  Boise State beat Western Oregon 103-62 on Thursday night.

 

Senior Eric Lane added 15 points, 10 in the first half, while senior Kenny Wilson had 11 points and junior Tyler Tiedeman and senior Coby Karl each had 10 points.  Karl led the Broncos with five assists.

 

Boise State, who opens the regular season Nov. 11 in Wyoming, shot 46.3 percent from the floor while outrebounding Cascade 54-35 and forcing 28 Thunderbird turnovers.
