Drmic Named to National Watch List
Oct. 13, 2015

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Boise State redshirt senior guard Anthony Drmic was named to the 2016 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award watch list Tuesday, by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. A national committee of top college basketball personnel selected Drmic among the 20-member watch list.

Drmic was Boise State’s leading scorer each of his first three seasons and was averaging 15 points per game last year before season-ending ankle surgery cut his campaign short after just seven games. The Australia native has scored 15.3 points per game for his career, ranking seventh in school history with 1,528 points.

Drmic enters his final season within reach of becoming the first 2,000-point scorer in school history and the program record for career three-pointers.

The Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award is in its second year. The watch list will be narrowed to 10 semifinalists in mid-February and again to five finalists in March before the winner is presented April 8, at the second annual ESPN College Basketball Awards Show in Los Angeles. The list will be fluid as student-athletes can be added and removed to the original list until the five finalists are announced.
