BOISE, Idaho - Boise State men's basketball will play a 31-game schedule in 2014-15, plus two exhibition games, head coach Leon Rice announced Friday. The Broncos will play 16 home games at Taco Bell Arena, including the two exhibitions to start the season.

The first time Boise State will take the floor at Taco Bell Arena is Nov. 1, in an exhibition against La Verne. The second exhibition is Nov. 7, against Montana Tech.

Boise State's regular-season home opener is Nov. 18, against Montana. The game rekindles one of the first rivalries in program history. The Broncos and Grizzlies faced off 54 times as Big Sky foes from 1971 to 1996. They have met just three times since, with Montana winning the last two in 2006 and 2009, both played in Missoula.

Six of the first seven regular-season games will be away from home, including the annual neutral-site meeting with Idaho at CenturyLink Arena in Downtown Boise (Nov. 25). The Broncos open the season at the LMU Classic hosted by Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles. Boise State will face San Diego (Nov. 14) and LMU (Nov. 15).

The Idaho game is bookended by marquee trips to Wisconsin (Nov. 22) and North Carolina State (Nov. 28) for the first all-time meetings with both schools. The Badgers return four starters from last season's Final Four team and is expected to open the season ranked in the top five. The date with the Wolfpack will be Boise State's first against an ACC opponent. The final road game of the nonconference slate will be Dec. 6, at Saint Mary's.

The Broncos host four-consecutive games in December. Adams State comes to Boise Dec. 9, and two days later cross-town opponent Northwest Nazarene makes the 21-mile trip to Taco Bell Arena for just the second regular-season meeting since 1998.

The next two home games are part of the Continental Tires Las Vegas Classic. Boise State hosts Southern Utah (Dec. 14) and Abilene Christian (Dec. 20) before traveling to Las Vegas for the semifinals and final at the Orleans Arena. The Broncos will play Houston in the first game (Dec. 22) and either Texas Tech or Loyola (Chicago) in the second game (Dec. 23).

Boise State opens its Mountain West schedule Dec. 31, at Colorado State. The 11-team conference plays an unbalanced 18-game schedule. This season Boise State will play each team twice except Nevada and Wyoming. The Broncos will not travel to Nevada and will not host the Cowboys.
The Mountain West Championship will once again take place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The men's tournament will run Wednesday through Saturday. The top six seeds will start in the quarterfinals. The bottom four seeds will play in the opening round. San Jose State is not eligible for the tournament.

At least 14 games will be available to a national audience. Eight will be carried on the ESPN Family of Networks, five on CBS Sports Network and one on Fox Sports 1. A handful of games remain available to be picked up for national or regional broadcast. Any home games not tabbed for television will be available for free on the Mountain West Network.

Boise State will host three doubleheaders with men's and women's basketball this season. Those dates are Nov. 1, Nov. 18 and Dec. 14.
