MBB Nonconference Schedule Announced

Season Tickets on Sale Now

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State men's basketball will host six nonconference games this season, in addition to two exhibition games. The Broncos will also play three road games, plus three games at the Gildan Charleston Classic.

Boise State will be the first Mountain West men's basketball team to take the floor this year with an exhibition game Oct. 28, against Lewis-Clark State. The Broncos will play a second exhibition Nov. 5, against Northwest Christian.

After starting the regular season away from home the past two seasons, Boise State will officially open the 2016-17 campaign at Taco Bell Arena Nov. 12 (Saturday), against Northwest University.

The first road trip of the season will see the Broncos face host College of Charleston in the first round of the Charleston Classic. The tournament begins Thursday, Nov. 17, with subsequent rounds played Nov. 18 and 20. All games will be played at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C.

The Broncos and Cougars will face off in the last game of the opening day. Tipoff is schedule for 7 p.m. ET (5 p.m. MT) on ESPN3. Boise State will face either Mississippi State or Central Florida in the second round. The other half of the bracket includes Villanova, Western Michigan, UTEP and Wake Forest.

Boise State will return home for a Black Friday matchup with Presbyterian (Nov. 25), to start a busy 11-day stretch. The span will send the Broncos to Oregon (Nov. 28), back home to host SMU (Nov. 30), away for the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge at Evansville (Dec. 3) and to Southern California to meet LMU (Dec. 5).

The Broncos will remain home for the remainder of the nonconference season, hosting Portland (Dec. 10), Idaho State (Dec. 18) and Cal State Northridge (Dec. 21).

The Mountain West season is set to kickoff Dec. 28, at Utah State. The full MW broadcast schedule is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Network selections and select tipoff times will be included in the announcement.

Season tickets are on sale now for the 2016-17 Boise State men's basketball campaign. Tickets can be purchased online at BroncoSports.com/tickets, over the phone at 208-426-4737 or in person at the Boise State Athletic Ticket Office located on the west side of Albertsons Stadium.

The NCAA Tournament returns to Taco Bell Arena in 2018. First priority for tournament tickets will go to Boise State season ticket holders during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. Fans who held season tickets both years will have the first opportunity to purchase tournament tickets in the spring of 2017.
