BOISE, Idaho - Bronco fans will have the chance to meet the men's basketball team Saturday, August 7th at BAM Jam in downtown Boise. Members of the Boise State men's basketball team will be signing autographs from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and will be providing information for their parent-child basketball clinic, August 13-14, for children ages 6-13.
The parent-child basketball clinic allows the children to learn new skills while the parents participate as well, teaching ball-handling, shooting and includes loads of fun and games. The clinic includes six-hours of on-court instruction and new ideas to take home and practice. For more information, contact John Rillie (firstname.lastname@example.org.).
BAM Jam is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament for players of all ages and abilities. The first tournament was held in downtown Boise on August 7, 3008 with 22 courts and 142 teams and has continued to grow each year. Proceeds from the tournaments are donated to local non-profit organizations.
Each year BAM Jam offers two tournaments, a summer and a spring version, providing unique experiences for players. The spring version is indoors, while the summer version takes you to Boise's streets. Teams are placed in brackets based on age, gender, experience and competition level in order to produce balanced games through the entire tournament.
