Drmic Named to Australian Boomers Team
BOISE, Idaho – Incoming Boise State freshman Anthony Drmic was named to the 12-man Australian Boomers team that will play in the prestigious Stankovic Cup Tournament in China Aug. 1-4, the National Basketball League announced Friday.

The team was selected following an intense five-day training camp on the Gold Coast, which concluded Friday morning.

The Boomers will open the Stankovic Cup Tournament against Russia, Aug. 1. Australia will then play Angola (Aug. 2) and tournament-host China (Aug. 3) before the event’s final, Aug. 4. Each of the three opponents Australia will face at the tournament is ranked in the top 15 in the world by FIBA.

The Stankovic Cup is a vital part of the Boomers’ preparations for the Olympic Qualification series against New Zealand.
