BOISE, Idaho - Incoming Boise State freshmen men's basketball players Anthony Drmic and Igor Hadziomerovic have been invited to join the 24-man "Golden Star" Boomers squad at an upcoming training camp for the Australian National Team.

Drmic and Hadziomerovic were invited to Gold Coast training camp after helping the Australian U19 National team to the quarterfinals of the recently completed World Championships in Riga, Latvia.  The incoming Broncos helped the Aussies win four straight games before losing to Serbia in the quarterfinals on July 6.

Drmic and Hadziomerovic will participate in the training camp from July 25 to 29 with a group of Australian all-stars that includes NBA star Patty Mills of the Portland Trailblazers and nine European-based players.

The camp will be an integral part of the national team's preparations for its upcoming clash with New Zealand in the FIBA Oceania Championships where an automatic berth to the 2012 London Olympic Games will be at stake.

Drmic is a 6-foot-6, guard/forward from Endeavour Hills, Victoria.  Last year he averaged 23.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and five assists per game for the Australian Institute of Sport.
