July 14, 2015

GWANGJU, South Korea - Boise State men’s basketball rising junior Nick Duncan helped Australia to a 10th-place finish at the 2015 World University Games. The team went 5-3, including a third-place finish in Pool C during group play, followed by two wins in consolation action before falling to Serbia in the ninth-place game.

One of the youngest members of the Australian side, Duncan came off the bench in all eight games averaging 19.7 minutes for the tournament. He scored 5.5 points per game while shooting 38.5 percent from behind the arc (10-for-26). Duncan also averaged 3.4 rebounds per game.

Duncan will return to Boise next week, ready to enter the second half of his Bronco career. In just two seasons Duncan already ranks No. 14 in school history with 117 made three-pointers. After averaging 5.0 points per game as a freshman, he scored 9.4 points per game last season while eclipsing the 1,000-minute plateau on the year.

Duncan will be one of five Broncos on the 2015-16 roster with at least 25 starts at the Division I level and one of four who has made at least six three-pointers in a Division I game.
