Still Playing: The Broncos 2008-09 season is still alive, as the team will be participating in the CBI (College Basketball Invitational) Tournament. Boise State will play at Stanford on Wednesday night at 8:00 PM MT. This game will be the first time Boise State has ever played Stanford.  The game will not be on TV, but fans can listen to the game on 580 KIDO or by clicking here. Stanford Preview:  The Cardinal went 18-13 (6-12) for the season, good enough for a ninth place finish in the PAC-10. Even with a down year, Stanford was able to go 13-4 in home contests this season. They beat NCAA Tournament participants Arizona, California, and USC in the regular season before losing to Washington in the second round of the PAC-10 Tournament. Stanford features a three-headed monster in Anthony Goods, Lawrence Hill, and Landry Fields who are all averaging above 12 ppg. This should be a pretty even match-up as both teams are very similar statistically:

WAC Teams: Only one team from the Western Athletic Conference made it to the big dance this season. Utah State will play Marquette in the first round in Boise, ID. The other school in postseason play besides the Broncos is Nevada, who is also playing in the CBI Tournament. Nevada will take on UTEP and could possible face Boise State again in the third round if both teams advance.

Last Fact On Stanford: Did you know that Stanford is one of the most balanced teams from a first half to a second half? On the season they have scored 1,130 total points in the first half and 1,130 points in the second half.
