March 8, 2016

ST. LOUIS - Boise State redshirt junior forward James Webb III was selected to the USBWA All-District VIII Team, as announced Tuesday by the United States Basketball Writers Association. District VIII encompasses all Division I schools in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada and Montana.

Webb averaged 15.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 0.7 steals per game during the regular season. He led the Broncos in each category. Webb recorded 11 double-doubles in 30 games, including three games with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds.

The USBWA District VIII Team comprised of 10 players. Webb was one of three Mountain West representatives, joined by Josh Adams (Wyoming) and Elijah Brown (New Mexico). Voting is done by the USBWA's national membership of 900-plus. The USBWA has selected All-District Teams since the 1956-57 season, its founding year.

This marks the third straight season a Bronco was tabbed all-district by the USBWA and fifth time in the last 11 years. Webb's former teammate Derrick Marks (2014-15) and current teammate Anthony Drmic (2013-14) also earned USBWA recognition.
